What is Theta Healing?

In 1995, during her own personal journey back to health, Vianna Stibal created the world-renowned Theta Healing technique. This method identifies and releases blocks, limiting beliefs, negative feelings, past trauma and harmful patterns of behaviour that create pain, suffering and disease in your life. They are replaced with positive beliefs and feelings, new and more empowering patterns of behaviour, enabling you to create a happier and healthier life. The changes are positive, and the effects can be felt instantly and last your entire lifetime.

The Theta Healing technique works on your beliefs, experiences and trapped emotions from this lifetime, those beliefs, experiences and emotions held in your DNA from your ancestors as well as your past life experiences. It allows you to use your own natural intuition, relying upon the unconditional love of the Creator Of All That Is to do the actual “work”, creating instantaneous healing of your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

What is the Theta mind state?

Theta is the state of mind where it is believed you can create everything and change reality instantly. There are five main frequency brain waves: Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, and Gamma. Theta State is a state of very deep relaxation. Theta brain waves can be considered the subconscious; the first phase when we dream. They govern the part of our mind that lies between the conscious and the unconscious and retains memories, feelings, beliefs and behaviour.

Scientists have discovered that Theta brain wave frequencies relieve stress, reduce anxiety, facilitate deep physical relaxation, mental clarity, increase verbal ability, improve memory and creative thinking, reduce pain, promote euphoria and provide instant healings.

During a session, the client is assisted to reach the Theta state through a simple meditation so they can access key past experiences (without reliving them) which are then released and healed.

Why we need healing

Research has shown that our relationship with our parents or care givers from birth to 7 years of age, impacts the behaviours we will accept from others when we are adults. These early interactions also shape our personality and self image, as well as how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. If these experiences are loving, encouraging, supportive and stable we develop a healthy, balanced, and positive sense of who we are.

But if our childhood was full of conflict, hostility and criticism, or we felt invisible, abandoned or unheard, or if our home was chaotic, unpredictable, unsafe or abusive, we form emotional wounds and develop core beliefs that we are unworthy, unlovable, flawed and not good enough. This is because as children we believe that everything we hear, see and experience is true, as we have not yet developed the ability to discern why others behave the way they do. This part of our subconscious that holds the painful memories, emotions and core beliefs from childhood is what psychologists refer to as our wounded inner child.

Attached to our core beliefs are the emotions and behaviours we displayed when they were created, which protected us and kept us safe. So for example, when we were ignored, a core belief was triggered - ‘I’m unlovable’, bringing up emotions of hurt and upset, causing us to behave with tantrums and anger (fight response), or withdraw, shut down and avoid (freeze response), or people please (fawn response), or were on edge and anxious (flight response) or combinations of these. So each time we felt ignored, the same beliefs, emotions and behaviours were activated, creating hardwired habits and patterns of behaviour that we continue to display into adulthood.

If our childhood trauma is left unhealed, we will continue to revert to our wounded inner child in our behaviours, emotional reactions, or communication styles when triggered throughout our lives. Even though we may know they’re dysfunctional, we continue to repeat these behaviours because they feel familiar, we know what to expect from them and we may have no idea what else we can do. Living this way keeps us stuck in survival mode which negatively impacts our energy levels, immune and nervous systems and thinking skills. This can lead to depression, anxiety, learning issues, relationship difficulties, addictive behaviours, eating disorders, illness, disease and health and emotional problems.

How Theta Healing can help you

As well as the core beliefs, emotions and behaviours created in this lifetime, there are also beliefs, emotions and behaviours held in our DNA from our ancestors as well as those from our past life experiences. These all sit deep in our subconscious, so our brain cannot differentiate if a belief was created now or in the past; if it’s ours or an ancestor’s; if it’s true and supporting us, or false and causing us pain. Our subconscious mind works to validate and support our beliefs, so if we believe we are unlovable, we will unconsciously attract people and situations to prove it. This keeps us trapped in cycles of struggle, competition, lack, doubt, distrust, resistance, fear and the past, manifesting as mental, physical and emotional pain, dis-ease and disharmony throughout our life.

Using different Theta healing techniques, our limiting beliefs, trapped negative emotions and unhealthy patterns of behaviour are uncovered and cleared. This leaves space for empowering beliefs (I love myself for who I am), as well as positive emotions (self belief, self love, confidence) and constructive patterns of behaviour to take their place. Our childhood scars are healed so we no longer respond to the world as that wounded child, so our past no longer controls or affects us today.

This new way of being positively changes our connection to the world, ourself and others as we gain a clearer and more empowered understanding about who we are, how we work and what we need to live a happy and healthy life. We have the tools, confidence and positive mindset to create more loving and supportive relationships, improved health, better career opportunities, success, increased creativity, confidence and self-esteem, inner peace, clarity, happiness and whatever else our heart desires.

What to expect in a Theta Healing session

You will be in a safe, confidential and supported space, and will be gently guided throughout the session so healing and positive changes can take place.

You will be led in a short meditation to reach the Theta state. I will listen to your concerns, issues and story without judgement. Intuitively I will connect with pure source energy to provide the most effective healing specifically for you. This may include an intuitive body scan, questions to uncover when, how and why your issue was first created, or other techniques so I can identify the underlying negative beliefs, emotions and patterns of behaviour that are blocking you and negatively affecting your wellbeing.

With your permission they will be cleared and you will be downloaded with positive beliefs and emotions so healing takes place immediately, as what you were struggling with has been shifted.

This allows you to move forward with clarity, purpose and confidence. You are no longer weighed down by your past so your life is brighter, happier and more fulfilling. You can navigate the path you want to take with freedom and ease.

How many session will I need?

It depends on how complex the belief systems are around the issue that is troubling you.

For some clients, a one hour session is enough to make the necessary shift as a lot of work can be covered in a short amount of time.

For others, deeper belief work may need to be done over a number of sessions, or a longer session of two hours or more to achieve the desired results.

The amount of sessions needed will vary from person to person depending on what needs to be cleared and what you want to accomplish.

What should I do to prepare for a Theta Healing session?

Know what you want to work on.

Relax, trust and respect the healing process. Be open to self reflection, learning new tools and breaking free from generational patterns of behaviour.

Allow positive change to take place as you let go of aspects of your past that are causing you pain.

Make sure your device is charged and choose a quiet place so you won’t be disturbed. Allow enough time so you can focus solely on your healing.

Have some water with you so you stay hydrated.

Theta Healing uncovers the root cause of why you feel and behave certain ways, and the subconscious beliefs you harbour about who you are and the world we live in. These limiting thought patterns can instantly be transformed, so positive change can be felt immediately, improving all aspects of your life.
